The following Rallies were held during 2011:
Inaugural Rally held at Easter (21st – 26th April) 2011 at Alvington .
We took over the CL at the back of the Blacksmiths Arms pub, which has enough space for 18 vans. Five outfits attended and had a great time, in part due to the fantastic weather and in part due to good food and drink just a few steps away from the caravans. We held a committee meeting at this rally.
8th to 10th July Combrook
Again good weather and a good time.
Merryweather Farm at Chipping Norton.
Did not use the exemption certificate here as we stayed on a commercial site.
6th August - 20th August Holland & Belgium
Four vans and a campervan went to Camping Konigshof in Holland (6th – 14th) then Camping Blaarmeersen in Ghent (14th – 20th).
Again did not need exemption certificate as we stayed on commercial sites. Mixed weather (better in Belgium) but all had a good time.
26th to 29th August Paddock Rally
On the paddock at the Bird’s house. Free and easy and relaxing. All vans travelled home lighter than the outward journey at the expense of our recycling bins!!
7th to 11th September was Ludlow Food festival.
We stayed on the rally field belonging to Greenway Touring Park which is adults only. The food festival was so good we are returning again this year to the same site on 5th to 9th September 2012.
